HLTA's (Higher Level Teaching Assistants) work in schools in close association with teachers, providing important support for teaching and learning activities. HLTA's can work right across the curriculum, acting as a specialist assistant for a specific subject or department helping them to plan lessons and develop support materials
Preparation & Assessment for Higher Level Teaching Assistants
The Department for Education has confirmed that Head Teachers are in the best position to decide whether a member of their staff has demonstrated through their work in school that they meet the National HLTA Professional Standards and are competent to take on the role of HLTA within that school

STUDIO 206 HLTA PREPARATION & ASSESSMENT PROGRAMME
For entry to our HLTA Assessment programme candidates MUST demonstrate that:-
FUNDING - As from September 2012 the Department for Education ceased the funding for HLTA Assessment Programmes. As a result, HLTA assessments will require funding provision either by the candidate or the candidate's school.
TOTAL COST: - £550.00 fully inclusive of programme fees and programme materials
(25% Deposit of £137.50 followed by three, equal monthly payments of £137.50)
